I’m Wearing: Caché Biker Jacket, INC International Concepts Peplum Top, Express Jean Legging, Marc Fisher Booties, Louis Vuitton Handbag, scarf and bracelets (old).
This faux leather biker jacket came in the mail on Saturday, and I had to wear it that same night. It’s from Caché and I bought it on their sale for $64! Yes, $64! And it’s still available in every size, so if you think you might want it, go get it quick before it’s gone!
I’ve been looking for a biker jacket all winter and I love this one and here’s why: First, the cropped styling looks great with almost anything, especially peplum tops like the one I’m wearing. Second, it’s light weight so you can wear it year round and even layer a heavier winter coat over it. And third, it doesn’t have large gold or silver buttons or hardware. I feel like that’s so limiting.
I really don’t like the last picture of me in my closet, but I wanted you to see this cute peplum top up close and it was too cold to take it outside (you’ve just got to love Chicago winters!). I’ve learned never say never when it comes to fashion. When I saw peplums were coming back, I wasn’t a fan, but I have to say, I’ve warmed up. This was my first peplum purchase. I’ve always thought of peplums being for women with little waists, but if you have a thicker waist-line like me, a peplum can define it and be surprisingly flattering. For some reason, my husband was CRAZY about this top on me. Something tells me you’ll be seeing me in more peplums!! Which leads me to a question: Does your husband or significant other influence what you wear, and if so, how? Would love to hear from you!!
Oh, and by the way, if you’re liking MLWS, please, PLEASE share it with your friends. One of these days I would love to do clothing give aways or offer store discounts on my blog, but I can’t do it without a lot of fans, so please tell your friends about MLWS and thanks for following along!
