It was almost a year ago today that I wrote this blog post about my obsession with yoga. I love hot vinyasa flow yoga. It really is my salvation. I feel like a new person after I’m done with class. And for last week’s class, I got a bonus! We had one of those rare early spring mornings in Chicago where it was beautifully sunny and tolerably warm. A bunch of us decided to sit out by the river and soak up some sun before going in to the studio. It was so invigorating to be outside. Made me long for warmer weather!
Since I go to hot yoga and it’s so cold out, I like to layer up with a hoodie over my tank/cami. This top from Athleta is one of my favorites. It’s light enough that I can wear it for class until I’m warmed up, and I can throw it back on to stay warm and cozy for savasana (the relaxation part of class). Plus, it’s a great cover-up if I have a few errands to run after class or if a bunch of us decide to catch some lunch. Oh, and yes, I consider UGGS part of my yoga attire! If it’s not hot enough to wear flip flops to class (I can dream, can’t I?), I consider my UGGS a close second. No need for socks and my toes are happy too! You’ve got to love that!
Can someone tell me where this week has gone? I’m still working on curating my collection of the best swim suits for spring break. I know, it’s tough to think about swim suits when it’s so cold out, but these will definitely get you in the mood to bare some skin. Plus we’ll be talking sunless tanners so you’ll be all ready to go. Hope your week is going well! Happy hump day!
