I got a little behind on things with everything going on. I’m on vacation, true, but I do have a deadline on my review for this Vox Box and since it’s a storm day in Quebec and the hubby’s sleeping, I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to get at this.
This is the third Vox Box I’ve received from Influenster. Influenster is a community of social media users who receive products and write reviews. I was selected to receive the TLC (Tender Loving Care) Vox Box based on my prior reviews and also my demographics and product usage. This box didn’t disappoint. Here are my reviews of what was inside:
I have to say, I was a skeptic when I tried this out. This Avon ANEW Reversalist Complete Renewal Express Wrinkle Smoother claims to be a wrinkle eraser. First of all, I’ve never been a fan of Avon. I see it as a the brand my mom used to use which you would think would give is some street cred, but for me, it always seemed like old news. Plus I get all my make up and skin care from a make-up artist and esthetician, so I was SURE I wouldn’t like this stuff. I WAS SO WRONG! I tried this out over my existing make-up. I followed the directions dotting it on over the crow’s feet on just one of my eyes and I compared the difference. Seriously, it did erase the wrinkles on that eye and there was a huge difference between the eye that had it on and the one that didn’t. Just to make sure I wasn’t being biased, I asked my husband to tell me which eye looked like it had less wrinkles, and without hesitation he chose the eye with the ANEW. This one’s the real deal. You gotta give this stuff a try.
I got to review Puffs Plus Lotion before in one of my boxes. These things are great for on the go, and if you’ve got a cold or you’re allergy sufferer like me, you can’t beat the lotion. It really does help to prevent the ugly scaly, dry nose you get from constantly blowing your nose. I always have a pack in my purse and I like to throw a pack in the kid’s backpacks when it’s back to school time.
With several of my children suffering from eczema, I’ve always been a Dove Soap user. I didn’t realize that Ivory® is also great for sensitive skin. Ivory says it’s 99.4% pure meaning it’s made with few extra ingredients. I found this soap to be mild with little fragrance if at all. And the fun part…this soap floats. I think from all my years of taking showers, I lost track of how handy it is to have a soap that floats in your bath water. I guess there’s also some really cool thing you can do with this soap that’s fun for the kids. Supposedly if you heat it in the microwave it expands to like seven times it’s size. Sounds fun. You’ll have to Google it.
I’m up for any kind of reward card, so when this came I couldn’t wait to learn more about it. Who doesn’t want to save money on gas, right? The Fuel Rewards Network® is a loyalty program where you earn fuel rewards by using your card to make purchases on-line, at the grocery story and even dining out. In addition, every time you swipe your Fuel Rewards card when you purchase gas at a Shell station, you save 3 cents per gallon – – every little bit counts (or is more money you can spend shopping if you look at things the way I do!!). You can also link your rewards card to your Mastercard to earn even more savings. I’m liking this!
Breyers® recently rolled out four new flavors of gelato: Vanilla Carmel, Raspberry Cheesecake, Tiramisu, and Triple Chocolate. With coupon in hand, I went and purchased myself the Vanilla Carmel. I have to preface this by saying that being lactose intolerant, I rarely eat ice cream or gelato, so I can’t make a big comparison to other brands of gelato, but in general, the texture was smooth and creamy and the flavor was good, all be it a tad bit too sweet for my taste buds (I’m always trying to limit the sugar). My kids really liked it though. It’s a nice twist on regular old ice cream. I also noticed that the price point of this gelato is well below other brands – another plus.
With kids and lots of outdoor activities this summer, this Neosporin® Neo To Go™ has come in super handy. I love that you don’t have to touch the scrape to apply this. You simply spray it on and it fights infection and relieves pain. This little spray bottle fits perfectly in a purse or backpack so it can be handy whenever you’re on the go.
