Mackage Coat

Mackage Coat

Mackage Coat similar and I like this one and this one too. Nordstrom Hat (similar), Louise et Cie Bootie , Paige Denim(Valor), Louis Vuitton Metis Handbag.

I know it’s been a while since I checked in. I’ve kind of decided that for now, I’ll just do what works in terms of posting on the blog. I love blogging about fashion and I just can’t get myself to throw in the towel just yet. My friends who are now empty nesters tell me to keep it up ‘cuz with the kids are all gone I’ll be looking for something to fill the void. Hope you’re all ok with that…

So, on to today’s post…I seriously bought this jacket on a total whim. I was browsing the coat department at Nordstrom on Michigan Avenue when I stumbled upon this totally chic and versatile jacket. I tried it on and fell in love with the fit and the styling. Then when the sales person pointed out that it still had the sale tags on it from the last Anniversary sale (about one month prior) and that she “had to give me the sale price”, I was sold! I’ve since worn it down to the city three times and each time, I’ve been stopped and asked where I got the coat and if it’s a “Mackage”. I’ll be honest and say I had never heard of the brand Mackage before I bought this coat, but it apparently has a huge following by the fashion forward and I can see why. After looking at all the offerings from this brand, I’m seriously obsessed. The lines are modern, but not to an extreme. And I love the fit. Right now would be the perfect time to snatch up one of these timeless jackets on the cheap too. If you do decide to take the plunge, know that they run small. I took a large in this and it fits my tiny hips perfectly (I’m a tough fit for coats since I’m a size 12 on top and size 6 on the bottom. I usually go for a medium in a coat, but this large fit perfectly).

Hoping things are good with you and you’re making it through the tough gloomy and colder than it should be month of February. If you’re looking for a pick-me-up, start browsing the spring fashions…works for me!:)

Today I’m linking up with Jo-Lynne Shane for her Fashion Friday. Pop on over and take a look at all the awesome blogger looks today.
