Looking for a delicious dessert for this hot holiday weekend? You will be the star of any family get-together with this totally yummy dessert that looks so complicated to make, but is so easy…you’ll be embarrassed to say!
When Granda Domek showed up with this heavenly toffee ice cream dessert a few years back, it immediately became a Domek family tradition. My kids literally beg for me to make this.
You really won’t believe how incredible this tastes and how simple it is to make.
1 – Tub of Cool Whip
1 – Bag of Heath toffee bits
2 – Boxes of ice cream sandwiches
- Layer ice cream sandwiches in the bottom of a 9 x 13 pan.
2. Spread a layer of Cool Whip on top of the ice cream sandwiches.
3. Sprinkle toffee bits on top
4. Repeat steps 1-3.
Throw this in the freezer to set and you’re done. Seriously, how easy is this?
ENJOY and prepare for stardom!
Variation: One of my readers, Wendy, just wrote in and said she tops the ice cream sandwiches with hot fudge or caramel OR BOTH before she adds the Cool Whip. She also says she sometimes substitutes the toffee bits for Oreo or butterfinger toppings.
