Welcome to my first installment of Friday favorites!
I’ve seen other bloggers do this, and I always thought it was fun and informative, so I decided to jump on the bandwagon. Plus, since it a Friday post, I’m hoping it will force me to be more consistent with my blogging- my major downfall. Any how, this is how it works – every Friday (whenever physically possible…see I’m already giving myself an out…my bad!), I’m going to post five things that are my favorites for the week. These things can be anything – food, drink, websites, music, movies, ANYTHING.
So here goes:
I picked this up on a whim at Fresh Market a while back and I can’t get enough of it. It’s seriously delicious. LYFE takes cinnamon spiced steel-cut oats and mixes it with quinoa (super food with a protein punch), peaches, apples and pineapples and tops it with a coconut almond topping. Need I say more? It comes in a pouch that you pop in the microwave – so easy. It’s a little on the sweet side for me, so what I’ve been doing is mixing half with plain greek yogurt. It almost tastes like a cobbler, only healthy. I save the other half in the refrigerator and eat it the next day. It is to die for!
Don’t you hate when you wear a racer back top and your bra straps hang out? For the longest time, I was purchasing separate bras with racer back straps. Talk about a waste of money when all I needed were these handy little bra strap converters! I have both versions of the converters shown (the Hollywood Bra Converting Clip and the Braza Magic Clip) and both do the trick. You can use them on your camis too. So handy!
My sister-in-law turned me on to Kate. I’m not much of a DIYer, but I’m always on the look out for new and fresh ways to decorate my home. I absolutely hate doing ab work. In fact, unless I have a video to push me along I’ll either do cardio and skip the abs or do 20 crunches and call it a day. With the Daily Workout app, it’s like having my favorite workout video and trainer all in one. And since the workout is an app on my phone, I have it with me wherever I go. Get it? No excuses!
For each type of activity, you get the choice of three different workout routines and three different lengths of time. For example, I can choose from a 5, 7.5 or 10 minute ab work out. I also love that each exercise is demonstrated by a certified personal trainer who works alongside you via the video. And my favorite part of these workout apps? What you get at the end. Sorry, I’m not going to tell you; I want it to be a surprise… So download the apps and do the workout to find out!

Have you seen the new Hyundai Santa Fe commercial? It is just the darn cutest thing. How many times do you think your husband’s said, “Don’t tell mom?” My favorite scene is when the dad’s up in the front seat eating a huge burger and onion rings and the kids are lined up in a row in the back seat eating ginormous sundaes…classic!
